This is a 4 month puppy. She jumped off of a deck and broke both of her front legs just above the elbow.

The most common version of this fracture is present in the right humerus. In this fracture the outside or lateral portion of the end of the humerus has broken off. You can see in the next x-ray that this was repaired with a screw and a cross pin. The fracture in the left leg, is much less common. It is referred to as a T or Y fracture and is much more serious. It was repaired with a plate on the medial side and then, like the right leg fracture, with a screw and pin. Because she was a young puppy she healed quickly and made a full recovery.
